Welcome to Online
Learning for student course. This course will focus on the general
understanding of online and traditional classroom learning. Students
will be introduced to the problems of learning online and how to solve them. They
will learn about online assessments, and the strategies to become a successful
learner online. Students will be graded through Quizzes, assignments, tests,
reflective journals, and Discussion forums. Each assessment type chosen by the
lecturers will be graded and used to measure your competency level and
readiness for starting your journey of learning online.
Course Content
Week 1: Introduction
to Online Learning.
Week 2: Online
Learning and Face-To-Face Learning.
Week 3: The use of
Technology in learning.
Week 4: Online
Assessments and student support.
Week 5: How to be an
effective learner online.
Target Audience
Eswatini students are interested in learning online.
At the end of this course, learners will be able to:

Following is a table outlining the assessments and weightings, based on point
value for each week. The total point value for all assessments is 100.
2. Rubrics and examples will be developed for each assignment and will be included with the assignment instructions showing the components that will be evaluated within the lesson content.
