We are
going to start with persuasive writing. We might have touched a little on
persuasive writing in the previous week when we were dealing with a letter to
the editor. Now we will be giving more attention to this form of writing.
On the
previous day, we looked at persuasive writing. Now we moving on to discursive
writing. This is another type of writing with its own writing skills. We will
look at the style, audience, language used, and purpose
Today,
we will be looking at narrative writing. It is one of our longer writing tasks.
Like all the other essays we have looked at, we will be looking at the purpose, basic components, structure, and techniques
of a narrative essay.
This is the second day of our week. We will be
looking at a discursive essay. Like the narrative essay, we will be looking at the purpose, basic components,
structure, and techniques of a descriptive composition.
On this
day we will look at expository writing. This is our last long essay. Like all
the other essays, we are supposed to know the style, and language used, and consider the audience and purpose of writing.
On this day we will be looking at coherence and
cohesion. These are one of the skills we need to acquire in order to write proper
essays.
We have come to the
second lesson of the week. In this lesson, we will be looking at writing
notices. It is one of the writing tasks we have in the syllabus
We have come to the third lesson of this week. Today, we will be learning about how to write minutes. We are expected to know the structure and language
used when writing minutes
This is
the first day of our tenth week. We will be looking at writing an
advertisement. This is one of the writings that needs creativity.
This is the third day of our lesson, we have
looked at writing an advertisement and a report. We now move on to writing dialogue. Again we will have to look at the structure, the language used, and techniques
for writing dialogue.
Today we
move on to writing a speech. We will look at the structure and techniques used
to write a proper speech.
We
will be looking at listening skills. There is basically nothing much to be
taught in this lesson. Each learner should get used to listening. You can read
the content pertaining to this unit but without exposing yourself to listening to
different kinds of information presented in a variety of forms, then you lose
it.
This is the second day of our week. We will continue
with listening skills. We will look at the skills of selecting and organizing
relevant material. We will also need to acquire skills in distinguishing
between facts, ideas, and opinions.
